All the residents enjoyed ‘high tea’ in the garden whilst listening to music, including God Save the Queen. Staff and residents spent the afternoon dancing and having fun with lively music, which included hits from the 40s/50s. Everyone enjoyed having a good jive and also playing volleyball with the balloons.

The residents talked about the Queen growing up and the impact she had on their lives, as well as reminiscing over the past jubilees & royal weddings, with some residents commenting on the time Carol Evans (manager) made rosettes for everyone. Credit to the chefs for making the homemade cakes and scones with cream, which was enjoyed by everyone.
