Our happy families

“My mother was very anti care home, however, her dementia became worse over lockdown. We persuaded her to take a short break. Whilst there she joined in activities, ate well and kept clean and tidy every day. The last time I visited on Saturday (my regular spot) she was so happy telling me she really liked it there and since then has been accepted as a permanent resident. We had a good laugh. The staff are second to none. Nothing is too much trouble. We can ring anytime night or day. There is a WhatsApp video which can be used, in this present climate nothing is ‘the norm’ at the moment, and at the moment only one visitor (me). They have very active Christmas activities in the lead up to Christmas. Unfortunately, the only downside is she can’t come out at the moment through no fault of anyone. But I am confident we’ve made the right choice of home and a weight lifted off our shoulders (my brother and me). She is happy.”

We would like to offer our heartfelt thanks for all the loving care you have given our mum. When she moved here in February, having lived alone in her house for the previous 42 years and leaving her beloved cats, we were unsure how she would settle. We needn’t have worried. She enjoyed her time with you so much and we couldn’t have asked for more. All the staff from carers to kitchen staff, groundsmen and activity co-ordinator have been wonderful. Special thanks to Tara, Lisa, Susie and Ben for their extra special attention in her last few weeks. You’re all amazing. With love Pauline and Marion

“Dear Ben, Lisa and Staff. We can’t thank you enough for the love and care you all gave to my mum, Beatrice. You were so very kind to her during her last few days, which gave us all peace of mind knowing she was being so well cared for. We will be forever grateful to each and every one of you. God bless you all and keep you safe. With love from Jean, Malcolm and Family”

“To all the staff at Little Croft, we would like to take this opportunity to thank you all again for the wonderful care you gave to Violet. You were all so caring and compassionate to both her and ourselves. When we left Violet with you, we knew she would be cared for so well. We cannot thank you enough especially in such difficult times. We hope you are all keeping safe and we think you are all amazing. Best wishes, Sue & Mike”

“It is difficult to find words to express my thanks for the care you have given to mum during the pandemic. I know we are still at risk, but you have all accepted the risks and carried on. Thank you so much. I don’t know if certain people were more involved with her care than others, if so please thank them particularly. We as a family were kept up to date through her illness, mainly Ben, and feel she is in safe hands. With good wishes for you all as we move forward, Sue”
