At Little Croft Care Home our Christmas celebrations are in full swing. As always, we’ll be offering a range of exciting festive activities for our residents to take part in.
Our care team have been working together to plan activities to provide the best Christmas they can. Here is some information about what we’ve already done and what we’ve got planned. We look forward to keeping Little Croft full of music and fun throughout the festive season!
Christmas Singing
At the start of December our residents got to enjoy some wonderful vocal performances and even had a chance to get involved themselves.
On the 6th of December, we had a singer called Christopher booked to come and entertain everybody with enjoyable festive songs!
On the 8th December, our staff took to the stage and delivered a fantastic Christmas sing along for everybody to join in with. This was a great way to get spirits high and start spreading Christmas cheer!
We’ve also already seen lovely performances from the families of some of our residents who have kindly given their time to spread some joy. We can’t wait to see what the rest of the month will bring.
Festive Piano Playing & Choir
On the 11th, our pianist Rosie visited to encourage sing-a-longs and encouraged our residents to show off their musical streak by using bells to join in with the music. Our residents had a great time enjoying music and making their own!
The Christmas music doesn’t stop there. On the 14th, we were paid a visit by a children’s choir which left everybody in high spirits and eager to watch more.
Plans for the Weeks Ahead
- 15th of December: we are having a cosy afternoon for our residents to enjoy some sherry, mince pies and carol singing.
- 17th of December: there will be a Christmas party buffet where we encourage all the families of our residents to join in to make the day extra special. There will also be entertainment, and face painting for the little ones.
- 18th of December: we are going to have a festive photoshoot to get all the residents feeling their best! These photos will then be available for the families.
Our Events Coming up to Christmas
After this, we can start getting really festive!
- 21st of December: there will be a ukulele group visiting Little Croft for the afternoon for some upbeat Christmas songs to entertain our residents.
- 22nd of December: a choir from our local church will be at the home brightening the day with some hymns and festive other songs.
- 24th of December: our residents will have the option to get cosy for an afternoon of their favourite Christmas films.
Christmas Day 2022 at Little Croft
On the day, our residents will be getting a visit from the man himself, Father Christmas! Our residents will be receiving fun gifts to open, followed by an evening of Christmas games and snowball fights.

We are so pleased to be able to welcome the families of our residents to the homes in the run-up to Christmas this year. A visit will be sure to brighten their day and we are looking forward to having you with us.
